Bethesda is a laid-back suburb northwest of Washington D.C. The city is named after Bethesda Meeting House, a local church established in 1820. Bethesda has evolved from its pre-colonial tobacco-farming roots and is now home to a mix of long-time residents and foreign and local dignitaries.
